So David and I have some exciting news....we're building a house!!! Well, actually my company is building the house and selling it to us at a great deal! We met with the builder on Monday and picked out our exact lot and the floor plan we want. They are working on getting the building permits from the city and then construction will start!
Our lease ends in November so we will move in around Thanksgiving! We are super excited and very nervous! I feel way too young to be a home owner! I've never even mowed a lawn before! Looks like David will have lots to do on the weekend!

I've never mowed a lawn either - if you don't count a couple of swipes I tried in high school with Grandpa's old push mower.

congrats! i call first dibs on staying in your "guest" bedrooms (since they don't belong to your kids or nothin')! so excited! and may you have long winters and summer droughts to relieve you of the responsibility of mowing... ha!

Congrats! There's much more to maintain than just mowing the lawn...good luck! And you definintely have to be disciplined to stick to the budget otherwise all your money goes to the house.
How exciting and SO wonderful you get to make some of your own decisions during the building! You might as well get a head start and become an HGTV addict now- it's all I watched the first few months we moved into our home.
Cute house. Angela is right, though. It is tempting to spend all your money on a house fixing it up, but you are good at keeping a budget. Can't wait to visit.
I don't think I have ever mowed a lawn, either, but guess who has been in charge of trimming bushes and pulling weeds??
